march's "bless others" giveaway (Operation RGB)
part of my Operation RGB 2011 is to bless others. so, march is that month!!!
how would you like to win one of these items below? i'm giving away a self-striping coffee / tea cozy, a tweed slouchy knit hat, and one of my very popular heather gray moss seed circle cowls, just like the one pictured.
this is how it will work:
all you have to do is, by 9:30am on march 13th, "follow" my blog and comment on this post with your favorite winter wearable ~ a soft scarf, a swanky sweater, a cozy cowl, marvelous mittens, etc. your name will be entered into the drawing for each item. you MAY add more than one comment, which will add your name more than once to the drawing... however, you will have to come up with a different favorite winter item for each comment post!
the drawing will take place on sunday afternoon, march 13th. stay tuned that evening for winners to be announced! my husband or kids will draw the names, so you know it's not biased :) (not that i would want to have to choose any of you over anyone else anyway!!! :) )
the winners will be contacted directly for shipping information. i will be shipping these out by the end of march.
since these are gifts from the bottom of my heart to bless others, i am putting no restrictions on the winners ~ like family members or gender. however, please note that each item will be just as pictured. the knit hat pattern is written right now for an adult-size head. the cowl is also fairly lacy-looking in person. and the coffee cozy will be the same colors as pictured above. no purchase necessary. :)
i look forward to reading your comments and seeing who the winners will be this weekend.
you have until 9:30am sunday, march 13th to write your posts. make 'em good! can't wait to read them!!! check back sunday evening for the winners!

off the needles... special olympic scarves (Operation RGB)
after some fast knitting, my two promised scarves for the Special Olympics have been finished and shipped off.
i love the colors they chose and wanted to share the completed project with you! (more photos below)
these scarves are my challenge for "Operation RGB 2011" for February. i chose to help the Special Olympics so i could give to those in need through a great organization who encourages others to do their best as they compete in sports.
in what way are you giving back this month of February?
