we recently moved back to the Atlanta area after a 3-year stint down on the coast of Mississippi. i grew up here, so it's nice to be home. one of the reasons we moved when we did was due to my 3rd pregnancy. giving birth at a familiar place with familiar people was a much more comforting thought than our options in MS. so, after only a month and a half of learning i was pregnant, i moved back with our 9-year old girl and 4-year old boy (now... they were younger then). my hubby stayed for a bit longer to continue working before it was necessary to move.
much to our surprise, at our 20-week ultrasound, the first one i had in this pregnancy, we found out that our 3rd baby was not only the 3rd... but we had baby # 4 in there, too!!!
we definitely know how to turn lemons into lemonade :)
so how does knitting fit in? knitting helps me go to a totally different place. if i have had a rough day, i can just pick up some scrumptious yarn, start working the threads into a wonderful, new creation, and i'm all of a sudden at peace and relaxed. i love the challenges ~ both those other designers give me in their gorgeous patterns and those i give myself when designing from scratch. there is something awe-inspiring about working through to the finished product, knowing it started as just a ball of wonderful string.
i crochet a bit, but my true passion is knitting. i have picked up on crochet quicker than i thought i would... but i just love all the different stitches, patterns, fashions you can make by knitting.

occasionally, i do get out of the house and get to go shopping (sometimes just window), but usually come across wonderful finds... and i always have an interesting journey with the twins or all four kids in tow

just like you, i too, occasionally, get inspired by things around me... people... items... books... nature... life is limitless and your creativity can come from most anywhere... if you will open yourself to the inspiration
